I just meant that the yarn was one single strand of fibre, instead of several twisted around one another. I tend to get a little over-excited re: yarny goodness. Ah well, my foibles.

I'm not afraid to say I have no idea what you're talking about, Angie. I usually only knit a couple of scarves each year (if that), so I don't really progress in my knitting know-how. I can tell you that I didn't have any problems with this wool, however.

Lovely! How did you like using the single-ply? I usedvons once that was so loosely spun that it was utterly impossible to keep even tension. It's put me off of singles entirely. I look for 4-ply options now (like the ubiquitous 220), and am much more satisfied. But I love the homey look of a single. Sigh. My knitterly woes.
